Jammu and Kashmir Youth Welfare and Development Society (JKYWDS) is a non-political, secular, and democratic non-governmental organization established on 22 July 2013, with its Head Office at Kadlabal, Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir. The organization works for the welfare and development of youth and disadvantaged sections of society across Jammu and Kashmir and the Ladakh region, in accordance with applicable laws and its constitution.
JKY WDS was established with a vision to bring together dedicated individuals and distinguished personalities committed to social welfare, community development, and humanitarian service. We believe that collective efforts, compassion, and responsible action can create meaningful and lasting change in society.
Since its inception, the organization has undertaken initiatives focused on youth welfare, education, public awareness, maternal and child health, social harmony, and community support. In collaboration with academic institutions and other stakeholders, JKY WDS has conducted surveys to understand the challenges faced by young people and identify concerns relating to maternal and child healthcare.
During the devastating floods of 2014, JKY WDS extended humanitarian assistance to affected communities despite its limited resources. The organization also played an active role in promoting communal harmony during sectarian tensions in parts of Budgam district. Through reconciliation meetings and community engagement in affected Shia and Sunni villages, the organization contributed towards strengthening mutual understanding, peace, and brotherhood.
Today, JKY WDS continues to work towards an inclusive society in which every individual, particularly young people, women, and persons with disabilities, has opportunities to live with dignity, access essential support, develop skills, and participate fully in community life.

Our efforts aim to bring hope and relief to those facing hardship and to ensure that every needy individual receives care, compassion, and respect.
We also envision a society where marriage is not prevented by financial difficulties. Through mass marriage programmes and marriage assistance initiatives, we aim to support deserving couples from economically weaker backgrounds, reduce the financial burden on families, and promote dignity, simplicity, social responsibility, and stronger family values.
Our vision further extends to assisting orphaned children, elderly persons, widows, orthopaedic patients, and individuals affected by poverty, illness, disability, and other challenging circumstances. We seek to connect those in need with available resources, institutions, and welfare schemes to make meaningful and lasting improvements in their lives.
Through humanitarian service, community participation, awareness programmes, rehabilitation initiatives, social welfare activities, and collaborative action with government departments, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders, JKY WDS strives to promote peace, social harmony, equal opportunities, human dignity, and sustainable development for present and future generations.
